Hi all ! In the interest of being authentic, I have been sitting on this idea of sharing what I have to offer to the world for a month now, trying to find the aligned time, the right time.
As a parent of a toddler, I’m sure many can relate, that there’s never a “good time”. The right time for me is when I find the courage to “jump”, and here I am. After a chance introduction to this space recently I am so inspired by the “anti- social media” sentiment of this space. Slow reading, slow digestion and integration of information, creative expression, offerings of wisdom, learning and shared experiences.
What do I have to offer the world ?
What drew me to this space and sparked my interest was the question I have been asking myself a lot lately . “What do I have to offer others, and in what capacity ?”. I am a Mother, an Arts Therapist, Artist and Human Being that spends a lot of time processing, integrating and reflecting on my experiences of motherhood. These experiences are often hard won and painfully beautiful lessons that I have discovered in this season of life. I want to share it with others ! I want to share with mothers riding the same river and parents, humans that are also here doing their best to make sense of the complexities of our human experiences.
Vulnerability and authenticity to me, are the greatest gifts we can offer the world and those around us. It allows others to be fully seen, heard and validated. In solidarity we create community and this is my intention for the space I am creating here. A community of mothers and humans who are learning and journeying together.
What to expect from me
What you will receive from me in this space is monthly personal reflections where I share motherhood journeys, learnings and experiences. Art therapy offerings that are nourishing and support slowing down and permission to rest. I will also be sharing my experience of art making and how art therapy has created a container for my own personal development and understanding of self. This has been a fantastic self care process that has supported me through navigating changes in identity and early motherhood.
Finally this is a space to honour the human experience and how we can all relate to the experience of being a human in the world and this can be a sliding scale between joy and challenge at times. My intention for myself is to only ever write and share when it feels “good” and I have something to offer the community. This is my personal intention as I love to “push” and I want this space to be authentic for myself as well as the community I am sharing it with.
This is a FREE publication where by Subscribing you are supporting me to develop community, share knowledge and wisdom and to also create conversation and dialogue that enriches not only my life but the lives of our community. Thank you for reading. I am excited to see how this space grows and evolves.
